If the online options don’t work for you, Mango recommends purchasing a Christmas tree stand from a local tree. “I recommend buying the stands that Tree Farm offers already installed. They’re basically steel legs with feet and plastic trays to hold water, and they also have wood installed so they’re straight and stable.”
While you should always read the owner’s manual that came with your particular tree stand, Spaulding offers some general advice.
“Firstly, remove the stand base if it is removable. If not, move on to step two,” Spaulding says. “Then put the tree on the base and center it in the round hole of the stand. Finally, place the base of the tree in the stand and rotate until it locks into place.”
